Boris Lurie - Haus von Anita

The Center for Persecuted Arts in Solingen has put together a comprehensive exhibition of works, from the early drawings of the War Series, the fetish images of the Love Series, to the painful portraits of the murdered mother, sister and lover. In the catalogue, Jürgen Kaumkötter has arranged all the works shown and collected essays by experts who deal with the interaction between Lurie's novel and fine art, the influence of Naziploitation cinema in the 1970s on his work, the literary context of Israeli Stalag dime magazines up to the book "The 120 Days of Sodom" by the Marquis de Sade and try to classify it as so-called Holocaust art.
